Is Colorado a good state to live in?

When a guy gets to the end of high school he has certain things that he really begins to think about. These things include where to go to college, what to study when you get to college, what career he wants in the future, and if that career will help him make enough money to support a family someday. There are also those small things a guy things about like where he wants to live with his family when he is done with school and has a career. These are things that I have found myself thinking about lately. While writing this blog I have really thought hard about these things. While I am not 100% sold on being a Conservation Scientist, I have truly reflected on the fact that someday I want a family and of course I want to live in a place where I can make a living, but also have a safe place to raise kids.
I was really happy when I found out that Colorado would not only be a good place to get a Conservation Scientist job, but also it is one of the cities  that is on the top 10 places in America to raise a family.
According to http://zoomtens.com/discover-10-best-cities-america-raise-family/ Boulder,Colorado is number 10 on the top 10 cities to raise a family in America.Boulder is very affordable for a family on any budget ("Boulder). It has a low crime rate for a large city, it is surrounded by fresh air, and beautiful mountains("Discover"). Boulder's education system is ranked as one of the top 10 states in the country for it's school's. Boulder was also recently ranked as the best place to live in America by the Men’s Journal .
According to Google maps Boulder is also only 36 minutes away from Denver, so this means I will be able to take weekend trips to Denver to watch the Broncos play. There is plenty of outside activities for me to do and Boulder seems just like the right kind of city I am looking to live in the near future.

Where I want to live

This week I am going to look at which states have the highest success rates for employment for Conservation Scientists. I found that non metropolitan Western Colorado had a median wage of around  81,860. I was really happy to find this out, because I love the mountains. I found out that the Denver , Aurora, Broomfield areas had a median salary range of around 68,820 per year. ( "conservation")   I am a huge fan of the Denver Broncos, so living in Colorado would be a huge plus. I also found that according to bls.gov there are about 1,070 people who are employed in Colorado as Conservationists. ( "conservation") Colorado would definitely be my top choice to live after college because it has high success rates for employment for a Conservation Scientist.

Next week I plan to take a look at the cost of living in Colorado. I also would like to know how the school systems are ranked. I will also look at how high the crime rate is.
