This week I am going to compare several companies around the Boulder Colorado area that are currently hiring Conservation Scientists. There were several positions that I came across that seemed promising. The first company that I found was at The Colorado State Forrest Service. One of the positions that I was interested in, is a Program Manager. This position started at 50,000 to 55,000 per year.  The position summary states that "under the supervision of the Forest Management Division Supervisor, the Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and program administration of work programs that support forest management primarily on state trust lands, forest management activities on lands administered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and vegetation management activities on road right-of-ways administered by Colorado Department of Transportation".  ("Jobs")  I think that this would a position that I would be interested in.

The next position that I found was for a Watershed Scientist/Environmental Scientist at The American Water Works Association. This position offered around $5,772.00- $7,362.34 per month, and around $69 to 88,000 per year. This positions summary states that "Denver Water’s Planning Division is currently seeking a qualified candidate who will serve in a leadership role for a team effort to develop and implement a watershed management program. The key goals include preserving high water quality for drinking water supplies, well-functioning forest health and ecological systems, and cooperative partnerships with various stakeholders and groups interested in the watersheds. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a strong desire and a passion to assist Denver Water to become the “best water utility in the nation.”                 ("AWWA")  I feel like this would be a great position, because I sure do love the taste of pure Rocky Mountain water.

After searching around the Boulder, Colorado area for Companies that are currently hiring Conservation Scientist's, I feel pretty confident that there are plenty of career opportunity's to choose from once I graduate from college and earn my degree.

I inserted a short video that demonstrates just a small part of what a Conservation Scientist can does.
